Coordination topology is the shape of collaboration. Route plus skill selects one specialist. Orchestrator-workers gives one manager responsibility for decomposition and acceptance. Handoffs move control as domains change. A blackboard lets specialists work against shared state, but demands rigorous claim, lock and recovery rules.
Do not choose a topology simply because multiple agents are available. Add it only where roles, permissions, context or failure domains genuinely differ.
